Frequently Asked Questions

  • What to Expect in a Consultation

A consultation is a low-pressure conversation to see if working together feels like a good fit. We’ll talk about what’s been bringing you in, what you’re hoping might feel different, and what you’ve already tried. You can ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and share any hesitations or curiosities you have. There’s no expectation to have it all figured out—or to make a decision on the spot. The goal is simply to explore whether this feels like the right next step for you.

  • What is your level of experience?
I’ve been working in mental health since 2009, supporting adults through entrenched emotional patterns that haven’t shifted with standard approaches. My work is informed by depth-oriented training and years of clinical practice with individuals whose concerns are layered, long-standing, or difficult to untangle. Experience matters—but so does how it’s applied.

    1. Setting specific therapy goals

    2. Creating an initial treatment plan for future sessions

  • Do you offer referrals if needed?

Yes. Thoughtful referrals are an important part of the care I provide. When additional or different support would be helpful, I connect clients with highly regarded providers I trust—physicians, dietitians, psychiatrists, and other specialists known for their expertise. Helping you access the right level of care, at the right time, is part of how I work.

  • Individual therapy sessions are offered at the following rates:

    • 60-minute session: $200

    • 90-minute session: $300

I work on a private-pay basis and do not accept insurance. This allows the work to remain flexible, individualized, and focused on depth rather than insurance requirements or preset treatment limits.

A limited number of sliding-scale spots are reserved for clients with demonstrated financial need and are offered as availability allows.

For those with out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide documentation for possible reimbursement.

  • My cancellation policy requires 48 hours notice for appointment cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full session fee.
